Open source releases!

I have given a few talks on these now and I recently put them on hex.pm but I've been off-site/on-site with a client and didn't get around to announcing anything. Our new tracing library: entrace

It has a sibling: entrace_live_dashboard

I would really appreciate it if you try these. I should write more about what they can do for you and maybe record an on-demand version of my recent presentation. But fundamentally it lets you trace function calls at runtime, any time you want, from Elixir. The base library would typically be used from iex and the other one from Phoenix Live Dashboard.

Any feedback is very welcome in the github issues. Code notes, bug reports, documentation confusion, contributions.

High energy

I have been off doing a workshop/hack session with a client. A three day consulting engagement where I helped check the direction of their work as it was outside their experience and inside of mine (Elixir mostly).

Mostly three of us, sometimes four as the CEO/tech janitor/product guy/domain expert would duck in and out.

This was one of those things I sometimes get to experience where everyone is quite high-bandwidth and intensely engaged as I typically am around work. We all knew it was a limited time scope, we all wanted to hit the high ticket items and things really flowed well.

Three very intense days. I'm on a very delayed train. And I'm buzzing to continue poking at some of the stuff we worked on and experimented with.
